What is Remote Care Monitoring?
Senior Helpers Chicago has partnered with Sensi to provide Remote Care Monitoring services to our clients and families. Sensi is an automated system that can analyze sensory data from care environments and give care providers actionable insight. Sensi supports 24-hour monitoring for occurrences that are out of the ordinary as part of your service package, Sensi enables your family to stay on top of things, to know that everything’s ok, and to be notified if it isn’t. Sensi will provide your loved one an added layer of support, and peace of mind. There are no buttons to push, and no monitoring is required. Sensi protects our client’s and families’ privacy.
How does it work?
Sensi collects audio from plug-in sensors to monitor the care environment and understand what is normal and not normal for our client. By tracking the environment over time, Sensi can detect unusual occurrences and identifies trends that might require attention. When Sensi detects an unusual or concerning event such as falls or signs of distress, it will notify Senior Helpers so we can act and notify you as soon as possible.
What is considered an unusual occurrence?
Sensi is typically triggered by unusual sounds that are not part of a normal daily routine. Common examples would be a person in distress, a fall, or an atypical interaction or activity.
Who will receive Sensi's notifications?
Senior Helpers Chicago will receive the notifications and will notify your family when necessary. The security and privacy of your information are very important to us. Sensi's system uses the highest standard of security to store and process the information and will only notify us if it detects an event that might require our attention. You can look forward to regular Family Reports from Senior Helpers with positive trends and interactions along with areas for concern or patterns that may be concerning and should be watched.
Is it affordable?
It’s very affordable! The daily cost is the equivalent of adding just one hour of care per day. In combination with care from a Senior Helpers caregiver, it is a way to have both eyes and ears looking out for your (mom) 24/7.
