Our History

Our History

Mark and Tiffany are fully-committed to the original goal of providing dependable and affordable in-home care with well-trained caregivers, and Senior Helpers of Spokane became a valuable resource for seniors and families in its community. Tiffany’s strong geriatric home health experience and extensive training in  cardiac, post-operative care, end of life care, Alzheimer’s/dementia and Parkinson’s Disease, has made a difference in the lives of her aging clients, ensuring that the clients’ needs and goals are met with compassion, respect, and professionalism.  The entire staff at Senior Helpers strives to provide an exceptional client experience and develop relationships with clients and families aimed at meeting their clients changing needs, while maintaining their safety in their preferred environment.

Our process

Our process

The first step in the process is a complimentary, initial LIFE Profile in-home care assessment with a Senior Helpers consultant. This assessment can help you understand the true needs of your loved one, and your options. Together we can discuss their needs, our senior care services and determine what’s best for your entire family.

We will cover:

  • Your family's specific goals
  • Your loved one's daily plan design and schedule
  • Pricing and payment methods
  •  Implementation process
  • Ongoing communication and follow-up plan

Meet the Spokane Team

Mark and Tiffany Murphy

Mark and Tiffany Murphy

Owners

In 2006, Senior Helpers began serving the senior population in Spokane, Washington and Northern Idaho. Mark and Tiffany Murphy acquired the franchise on February 10, 2014.

Mark has been very active as a business and community leader for over 30 years. Tiffany has been a Registered Nurse since 1988. She has a very strong medical-surgical and cardiac background, but her love of the elderly began while caring for in-patient oncology patients. She received her oncology certified nurse credential and worked as an oncology nurse clinician at a local home health agency specializing in pain and symptom management. Her home health experience, along with her passion for the elderly, has been a natural fit in acquiring a leading in-home care agency. Tiffany, a Community Instructor for Home Care Aides and a volunteer presenter for the Alzheimer’s Association, provides specialty training to both her caregivers and her community. Her passion and training enables her to make a difference in the lives of her aging clients, ensuring that their needs and goals are met with compassion, respect, and professionalism.

Together, with the strength of the Senior Helpers business model, coupled with Mark's business leadership and Tiffany's nursing expertise, this independently owned company has grown to become a trusted, professional in-home care agency with qualified, compassionate caregivers.

“Senior Helpers was a great start to my career as an HCA. When I started with Senior Helpers in 2014, I received a warm welcome to the company. Senior Helpers made becoming an HCA exciting. The staff was always kind and caring. I enjoyed being paired with clients who I could really help and make a difference in their lives. Whether it was for just an hour of companion care or 6 hours a day 5 days a week. The care standards we have as a company are by far the best I have experienced. Senior Helpers also gives you the opportunity to grow. The promotion I received to become part of the office staff has been a great blessing. I am excited to utilize my skills in new ways and to develop new skills that will assist me in helping other caregivers be successful in the homes of our clients. I am also excited to help caregivers in communicating their needs as they become part of the Senior Helpers team.”
