There is a group of Santa’s Helpers out there bringing holiday cheer to seniors in the area.
A recent visit to 83-year-old Louis Fote of Tacoma saw the helpers decorate his tree and give him a special gift to commemorate his beloved canine companion.
“Louis suffers from dementia and diabetes,” says Jennifer from the Senior Helpers organization, which provides non-medical in-home care for seniors in need. “His daughter helps him as much as possible, but she relies on Senior Helpers to check on him, help him around the house, prepare his meals and take him out to his favorite restaurants when she’s not able to be there.”
