Meet the Frisco office

At Senior Helpers of Frisco, we take pride in offering personalized care that not only enhances quality of life for our clients but also supports local families. Our compassionate team of caregivers is dedicated to helping our senior neighbors stay independent and comfortable, whether at home or in a facility. Our mission is to deliver reliable, affordable care with a personal touch.

More than 90% of seniors want to be able to age in their own home with dignity but getting the right type of care can seem daunting.  At Senior Helpers of Frisco we believe that getting the best care for your loved ones should not be complicated.  We recognize the growing need for in-home care services, and with our passion for helping others, we are committed to delivering the best possible care to seniors in the Frisco community.

We take the opportunity to provide care in your home seriously and make it a priority to provide the highest level of client service possible.  We have built an exceptional team of care professionals, each committed to remaining at the forefront of the in-home care industry through our proprietary ongoing training and education programs. You can feel confident that your loved one is in good hands with Senior Helpers.

Our History

Senior Helpers was founded in 2002 by Tony Bonacuse with the help of Peter Ross after their firsthand experience in caring for their respective family members. Tony and Peter identified a need that was not being filled properly by the other companies.  They realized that most seniors would prefer to age in their own home rather than move into an unfamiliar institution.  Unfortunately, the options available to most seniors were very limited.  Most seniors did not have access to well-trained, dependable and accessible in-home care. This was the mission-driven spark that started Senior Helpers.

The first office opened in Baltimore, Maryland, and quickly developed a reputation for delivering excellent in-home senior care with their well-trained staff of professional caregivers. Based on the success of the Baltimore location, the company began to expand.  The Senior Helpers family has grown to include a network of more than 300 locally owned and operated franchises across the United States.

Senior Helpers of Frisco was proud to join the system in 2024.  Like every other owner, we too are fully-committed to the original goal of providing dependable and accessible in-home care with well-trained caregivers. Nothing is more important to us than being the best available resource for seniors and families in our community.  We are lucky to serve hundreds of seniors in our community, and we are committed to continuing to provide uncompromising levels of care to all our families.

Our process

Our process

The first step in the process is a complimentary, initial in-home care assessment with a Senior Helpers consultant.  This assessment can help you understand the true needs of your loved one, and your options. Together we can discuss their needs, our senior care services and determine what’s best for your entire family.

We will cover:

  • Your family's specific goals
  • Your loved one's daily plan design and schedule
  • Pricing and payment methods
  •  Implementation process
  • Ongoing communication and follow-up plan

Meet the Frisco Team

Bidisha Rudra

Bidisha Rudra

Owner

After a successful career in corporate healthcare, I made the exciting transition to launch Senior Helpers of Frisco—a decision fueled by a combination of personal motivation and professional experience. Having experienced firsthand the challenges of caring for my aging parents and mother-in-law in India, I am passionate about providing compassionate care to seniors in the DFW community while offering much-needed respite for their caregivers.

Partnering with Senior Helpers was an easy choice, as their values and philosophy, led by Peter Ross, perfectly align with our own. The company’s tremendous support in marketing and operations allows us to focus on what truly matters—delivering high-quality, personalized care to seniors.

What excites me most about this journey is the opportunity to give back and address a growing need. Through Senior Helpers of Frisco, I’m passionate about helping seniors live comfortably and independently in their own homes while providing peace of mind to their families. I see this business as a way to align my personal philosophy of care with my professional goals, making a meaningful impact in the lives of seniors and their loved ones.

I am also committed to giving back through volunteer work. Coming from a humble background and benefiting from scholarships myself, I have always valued the gift of education. That’s why I volunteer with organizations that focus on breaking barriers in education. In addition, I partner with groups that support senior citizens, including the Alzheimer’s Association and the Agency on Aging at North Central Texas, to help seniors age gracefully.

On a personal note, I’ve been married to my wonderful husband, Dr. Neil Bhattacharya, for over 25 years. We met as students at the University of Georgia—Go Bulldogs! We are proud parents of twin boys, Niseem and Nirvan, and have a Shih-Tzu named Chewie (short for Chewbacca). I’m especially proud of building a life in America, coming here on a scholarship to pursue my doctorate in Economics, and finding success as a minority woman in corporate America. Above all, I’m most proud of raising two boys to be respectful, caring, and helpful individuals.

In my spare time, I cherish moments with my family, especially my aging parents, and I love to travel and learn from new experiences. Cooking healthy, warm meals for my family is another passion of mine, and some of our best conversations happen around the dinner table.

Fun fact: I learned to swim at the age of 24 at the YWCA—a reminder that it’s never too late to learn something new and that continuous growth is a lifelong journey!

Shweta Gupta

Owner

It would be an understatement to say that Shweta has found her calling through Senior Helpers of Frisco. She feels honored and privileged to start a business in Frisco, a community that she and her husband have loved and called home since 2009. They have been active members of Frisco and are thrilled by the prospect of continuing to give back and serve Frisco and nearby cities through this entrepreneurial venture. She is dedicated to creating an organization that is family-centric and promotes the well-being of community members.

Coming from a humble background and having three loving sisters, she has always been an advocate for women, the underprivileged, and the unsupported, a lifelong crusade that drives her passion. Through Senior Helpers, she is realizing a dream by investing her time and energy into providing superior, personalized care for seniors and support for local families. In addition to managing the day-to-day operations of Senior Helpers of Frisco, she is committed to engaging with local healthcare institutions, organizations, and businesses to build strong, meaningful partnerships to better serve the community.

The Senior Helpers’ mission “to provide compassionate care and improve the quality of life for our clients, their families, and our employees” deeply inspires and motivates her. While she is committed to offering safety, comfort, and independence to seniors in their homes and facilities, she is equally driven by a desire to provide respite for family caregivers. Having personally witnessed the stress and challenges her mother endures as the primary caregiver for her father, who suffers from Alzheimer’s, this mission has become even more personal.

Her passion for making a positive societal impact extends beyond Senior Helpers. Along with her husband, she volunteers with the Prison Entrepreneurship Program (PEP), an organization dedicated to transforming lives, restoring families, and rebuilding communities.

A proud Aggie, she holds a Master's in Landscape Architecture and an MBA from Texas A&M. Her fulfilling and successful sales and marketing career with a prominent healthcare corporation in Dallas has positioned her well to run an organization that strives to deliver exceptional customer and employee experiences.

In her spare time, she enjoys scaling mountains with her husband and is particularly proud of completing the 22-mile Kalalau Trail along the Nāpali Coast on the island of Kauai, Hawaii, in 15 hours. With the support of the community, she looks forward to creating an entity that is truly for the community and by the community.

I want to take this opportunity to express our thanks for the superb work Diane did for Dad while he was in the hospital. She was punctual, personable, and dedicated. She helped my Dad immensely during a difficult time for him. Her calm manner and brilliant smile worked magic. My Dad’s attitude changed completely for the better after her first visit. Thank you so much for giving us Diane. She really is a remarkable person and very caring.
