Meet the Central Dallas office

More than 90% of seniors want to be able to age in their own home with dignity but getting the right type of care can seem daunting.  At Senior Helpers of Central Dallas we believe that getting the best care for your loved ones should not be complicated.  We recognize the growing need for in-home care services, and with our passion for helping others, we are committed to delivering the best possible care to seniors in the Dallas community.

We take the opportunity to provide care in your home seriously and make it a priority to provide the highest level of client service possible.  We have built an exceptional team of care professionals, each committed to remaining at the forefront of the in-home care industry through our proprietary ongoing training and education programs. You can feel confident that your loved one is in good hands with Senior Helpers.

Our History

Senior Helpers was founded in 2002 by Tony Bonacuse with the help of Peter Ross after their firsthand experience in caring for their respective family members. Tony and Peter identified a need that was not being filled properly by the other companies.  They realized that most seniors would prefer to age in their own home rather than move into an unfamiliar institution.  Unfortunately, the options available to most seniors were very limited.  Most seniors did not have access to well-trained, dependable and accessible in-home care. This was the mission-driven spark that started Senior Helpers.

The first office opened in Baltimore, Maryland, and quickly developed a reputation for delivering excellent in-home senior care with their well-trained staff of professional caregivers. Based on the success of the Baltimore location, the company began to expand.  Over the years, the Senior Helpers family has grown to include a network of more than 300 locally owned and operated franchises across the United States.

Senior Helpers of Central Dallas was proud to join the system in 2024.  Like every other owner, we too are fully-committed to the original goal of providing dependable and accessible in-home care with well-trained caregivers. Nothing is more important to us than being the best available resource for seniors and families in our community.  We are lucky to serve hundreds of seniors in our community, and we are committed to continuing to provide uncompromising levels of care to all our families.

Our process

Our process

The first step in the process is a complimentary, initial in-home care assessment with a Senior Helpers consultant.  This assessment can help you understand the true needs of your loved one, and your options. Together we can discuss their needs, our senior care services and determine what’s best for your entire family.

We will cover:

  • Your family's specific goals
  • Your loved one's daily plan design and schedule
  • Pricing and payment methods
  •  Implementation process
  • Ongoing communication and follow-up plan

Meet the Central Dallas Team

Louis Brown

Louis Brown

Owner

For the past 20 years, Louis has built a successful career as an airline pilot, enjoying the unique experiences and opportunities it afforded. However, a life on the road often kept him away from his family and community, and he now feels drawn back to his roots with a renewed sense of purpose.

Louis holds an MBA in Healthcare Management, which has deepened his understanding of the complexities of the healthcare system and equipped him with the tools to effectively support seniors and their families. Before embarking on his aviation journey, he worked closely with seniors in his community through the Humana Medicare Advantage program. This early experience gave him a profound appreciation for the importance of supporting older adults in maintaining their health, dignity, and quality of life.

Louis is particularly passionate about serving the Greatest Generation and empowering veterans to access the home care resources available through the VA. He sees Senior Helpers as an opportunity to honor these incredible individuals and create a meaningful community resource for seniors and their families.

A proud native of North Texas, Louis lives with his wife, Kristin, and their son, Hudson. Kristin’s successful career in real estate and custom home remodeling has been complemented by her natural caregiving spirit, inherited from a family of nurses. Their family also includes Theo, a playful Sheepadoodle who brings joy as an unofficial comfort pet.

When he’s not working, Louis enjoys restoring classic cars, exploring historical narratives of the Western Frontier, Texas independence, and the American Civil War. He treasures time with his “small yet strong family of redheads” and finds inspiration in their love and support. For Louis, the journey to Senior Helpers represents not just a career shift but a heartfelt return home to invest in his family, community, and the well-being of others.

Kristin Brown

Kristin Brown

Owner

Kristin Brown’s passion for helping others comes from personal experience. When her family urgently needed a caregiver for her father-in-law, Kristin saw firsthand the challenges and stress families face during such critical moments. This experience inspired her to create a resource for seniors and their families that focuses on planning and providing high-quality, compassionate care. As the owner of Senior Helpers of Central Dallas, Kristin is dedicated to ensuring seniors age with grace, dignity, and safety while supporting their loved ones through the caregiving journey.

A lifelong resident of North Dallas, Kristin has witnessed many friends and family members navigate the complexities of senior care. She believes there’s a better way to provide support for the aging population and is committed to improving the quality of life for both seniors and their families. She also prioritizes empowering caregivers, recognizing that well-supported caregivers are essential to delivering the highest level of care.

Kristin is proud of her family and the community they’ve built together. She has been married to Louis since 2009, and they have one son, Hudson, who keeps them busy with his love of baseball, football all things social . Kristin is grateful for the multi-generational support of her family, including her incredible parents and grandmother that has lived over 100 years.

Outside of Senior Helpers, Kristin is an active member of her community. She serves as the president of her local garden club, leading neighborhood beautification efforts and partnering with the city on improvement projects. Kristin also volunteers with Special Friends Tennis, a program that teaches tennis to adults with special needs.

In her free time, Kristin enjoys playing mahjong, tennis, reading, watching college football, and cheering on Hudson during his baseball games. She is excited to make a meaningful difference in her community by helping seniors and their families thrive during this important stage of life.

I want to take this opportunity to express our thanks for the superb work Diane did for Dad while he was in the hospital. She was punctual, personable, and dedicated.
