Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease in which the immune system attacks healthy tissues.
There are different forms of Lupus with the most common being Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. “SLE”.
This form of Lupus is marked by chronic inflammation of the kidneys, joints and more often than not, the skin.
Lupus flare ups are often triggered by missed doses of medications, stress and infections.
