Our History

Our History

Brock Scott’s journey to Senior Helpers of the Upstate was driven by a deep passion for serving others and making a meaningful impact in his community. Following in the footsteps of his father, Don Scott, a Vietnam veteran and former Sales Director at Thomson Reuters, Brock built a career dedicated to helping people navigate the complexities of health insurance and Medicare. Together, he and Don spent years assisting seniors, listening to their concerns, and witnessing firsthand the challenges families face in balancing caregiving responsibilities with work and personal obligations.

As they worked closely with seniors, Don and Brock recognized a greater need—compassionate, hands-on support that would allow older adults to maintain their independence and quality of life at home. Understanding the urgency of this challenge, Don and Brock felt called to do more.

The decision to open Senior Helpers was not just a business venture; it was a mission. Their goal was to provide high-quality, personalized care that enables seniors to remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. Whether offering assistance with daily tasks, companionship, or supporting those with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s, they are committed to ensuring that every senior receives the dignity, respect, and compassionate care they deserve. Knowing their work makes a tangible difference—helping seniors maintain their independence and supporting families through difficult transitions—drives them every day.

Faith and service have always been at the heart of Brock and Don’s lives. They are deeply involved in their church and community, supporting mission trips, food drives, and youth programs. Brock, along with his wife, Liz, and their two sons, is proud to call the Greenville-Spartanburg area home. Their commitment to helping others extends to the seniors and families they serve through Senior Helpers of the Upstate. For them, this is more than just a career—it is a purpose-driven commitment to making a lasting impact and serving their community with integrity, love, and unwavering dedication.

We will cover:

  • Your family's specific goals

I want to take this opportunity to express our thanks for the superb work Diane did for Dad while he was in the hospital. She was punctual, personable, and dedicated. She helped my Dad immensely during a difficult time for him. Her calm manner and brilliant smile worked magic. My Dad’s attitude changed completely for the better after her first visit. Thank you so much for giving us Diane. She really is a remarkable person and very caring.
