Remember when August meant it was time to get ready for school again? You bought new school supplies and packed up your backpack for a fresh new year.
While not everyone is actually going to class, we think it's important for everyone to continue their education, especially our aging loved ones.
Here are a few ways for seniors to “head back to school” by learning something new and keeping their minds active and engaged:
- Reading (especially out loud!)
- Playing memory games
- Engaging in social conversations
- Coloring (find some cool coloring books here!)
- Puzzles or word searches
When it comes to exercising your brain and getting back to “school mode”, the options are really endless – and really fun!
We would also love for you to share your back to school stories. What was your favorite part about going back to school? What subject did you look forward to the most? How do you keep your mind engaged now that school is over?
