"I am a 74 yr old female with pretty bad knees. When my orthopedist recommended total knee replacements I was shocked. It took me several months to finally schedule the surgery. I live with my husband of 50 yrs. He has dementia. I was worried how I was going to manage after surgery. By some miracle I was referred to Senior Helpers. I didn’t need nursing care, just someone to come in a few days for the first two wks or so to help me get around safely in my home, prepare small meals, & do some minor household chores. The person, Jenny, who was sent was like a little angel. She was punctual, confidant, knowledgeable, & very caring. As I became a bit stronger & more confidant in my mobility, I knew I had to let Jenny go. I just want to say that Senior Helpers is an agency that cares about the home needs of individuals recovering from surgery and so much more.
