A family crisis inspires a new career in in-home care

Joanne Taylor's personal experience trying to cobble together a plan to care for her mother, who had been diagnosed with dementia, and her brother, who was battling kidney failure, had made her intimately aware of the many challenges faced by families in a similar situation every day.

“I had walked in the shoes from the perspective of families looking for care. I also understood how quickly things unravel and how important it is to get someone quickly to assist you while the crisis was unfolding,” Taylor said. “I also felt that the senior market was growing and that that there would be a lot more seniors in the coming years who wanted to age in place.”
