Our History
Steve Kunzler’s experience in home care began when he was a teenager. His father, a university professor, suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm and multiple strokes at an early age. When he came home from the hospital, he became dependent upon Steve and his mother to help him with personal care and life sustaining needs. Steve’s daily service to him for nearly a decade became an important hinge on which many of his life choices, both personally and professionally, have been based. That experience taught him a lot about service, care, and sacrifice. As time moved forward, the need to focus on a college education and work became apparent. Back then companies like Senior Helpers were less known. A nurse was hired to help out a few hours a week. It made an incredible difference in his family, making it possible for him and his mother to leave the house and know that the help could trust, meet needs, and be treated with respect.
After serving as a church missionary volunteer for two years, Steve attended Brigham Young University, studying zoology with an emphasis in human biology. For the next 9 years, he helped to build one of the fast-growing flooring companies in the Northwest. During those years, Steve found his greatest fulfillment in working with clients to solve problems and fulfill needs.
In 2012, Steve partnered with Senior Helpers and established Senior Helpers Las Vegas. As a franchise owner he was quickly impressed with the integrity of its founders and the principles that guided the company. From the start he found that their values very closely aligned with his own. Senior Helpers has established a reputation, with its revolutionary approaches in care such as Alzheimer’s, dementia, and Parkinson’s diseases that has shaped the industry and enabled his staff to provide nationally recognized care for our clients. Every day we strive to earn the right to care for our community by providing the best care to those who need our assistance. The best reward of these past 6 years has been to see how our Senior Helpers team has helped clients solve very challenging problems and establish lasting relationships built on trust, integrity, and service.
Steve is married to Karen and together have 7 children and love living in and supporting the Las Vegas community.
