Senior Helpers of the Triangle Joins Parkinson’s Foundation Community Partners in Parkinson’s Care
At Senior Helpers of the Triangle, we are proud to announce our recent partnership with the Parkinson’s Foundation through the Community Partners in Parkinson’s Care program. This esteemed distinction demonstrates our ongoing commitment to providing specialized care for those living with Parkinson’s disease (PD) in the Triangle, NC, region.
Improving Parkinson’s Care Through Education
Every year, 90,000 Americans are newly diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, and by 2030, it’s estimated that 1.2 million people in the U.S. will be living with PD. This growing need for specialized care is what drives our dedication to training and education for our caregiving team.
Through our partnership with the Community Partners in Parkinson’s Care program, 100% of our staff will complete comprehensive PD education. This training equips our caregivers with the latest best practices for managing Parkinson’s-related movement, non-movement, and cognitive symptoms. Site champions at our location will lead the way in ensuring that our entire care team is informed and empowered to support those affected by PD.
