Meet the High Point office

More than 90% of seniors want to be able to age in their own home with dignity but getting the right type of care can seem daunting.  At Senior Helpers of High Point we believe that getting the best care for your loved ones should not be complicated.  We recognize the growing need for in-home care services, and with our passion for helping others, we are committed to delivering the best possible care to seniors in the High Point community. 

We take the opportunity to provide care in your home seriously and make it a priority to provide the highest level of client service possible.  We have built an exceptional team of care professionals, each committed to remaining at the forefront of the in-home care industry through our proprietary ongoing training and education programs. You can feel confident that your loved one is in good hands with Senior Helpers.

Our History

Senior Helpers was founded in 2002 by Tony Bonacuse with the help of Peter Ross after their firsthand experience in caring for their respective family members. Tony and Peter identified a need that was not being filled properly by the other companies.  They realized that most seniors would prefer to age in their own home rather than move into an unfamiliar institution.  Unfortunately, the options available to most seniors were very limited.  Most seniors did not have access to well-trained, dependable and accessible in-home care. This was the mission-driven spark that started Senior Helpers. 

The first office opened in Baltimore, Maryland, and quickly developed a reputation for delivering excellent in-home senior care with their well-trained staff of professional caregivers. Based on the success of the Baltimore location, the company began to expand.  Over the past 20 years, the Senior Helpers family has grown to include a network of more than 300 locally owned and operated franchises across the United States. 

Senior Helpers of High Point was proud to join the system in 2024.  Like every other owner, we too are fully-committed to the original goal of providing dependable and accessible in-home care with well-trained caregivers. Nothing is more important to us than being the best available resource for seniors and families in our community.  We are lucky to serve hundreds of seniors in our community, and we are committed to continuing to provide uncompromising levels of care to all our families.

The first step in the process is a complimentary, initial in-home care assessment with a Senior Helpers consultant.  This assessment can help you understand the true needs of your loved one, and your options. Together we can discuss their needs, our senior care services and determine what’s best for your entire family.

We will cover:

  • Your family's specific goals
  • Your loved one's daily plan design and schedule
  • Pricing and payment methods
  •  Implementation process
  • Ongoing communication and follow-up plan

Robert Saunders

Robert Saunders

Owner

Robert Saunders is a distinguished US Army Staff Sergeant veteran who has transitioned his commitment to service from the military to his community as the proud owner of Senior Helpers of High Point. With a heart dedicated to enriching the lives of seniors, Robert is passionate about providing the highest quality and most dependable care to the seniors in the High Point area.

Robert's journey is marked by an impressive blend of education and professional experience. He holds an Associate's degree in Industrial Technology from Oakland Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, and a Master of Science in Product Development from the University of Detroit Mercy. Over the course of a 30-year career with Ford Motor Company, he developed a keen understanding of product development and a strong work ethic, which he now brings to his role in senior care.

Driven by a profound desire to contribute meaningfully, Robert recognized the need for compassionate and high-quality care for seniors in his community. Motivated by a desire to make a difference, he embarked on his journey with Senior Helpers, determined to offer unparalleled support to the elderly population.

Robert's passion extends beyond mere business goals; it's deeply rooted in his aspiration to serve those who have served. Understanding the unique needs of veterans, he is resolute in his mission to ensure they receive the exceptional care they rightfully deserve.

Allen Miles

Allen Miles

Sales & Marketing Manager

Allen Miles is a dedicated Sales Manager with over 30 years of experience in sales and marketing. A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Allen served with honor during Desert Storm, embodying the values of service and dedication to duty.

Currently, as the Sales Manager for Senior Helpers, Allen brings his passion for assisting seniors to the forefront. With a deep commitment to serving the community, he provides invaluable support and guidance to seniors and their families, helping them navigate the complexities of aging with dignity and compassion.

Throughout his career, Allen has demonstrated his expertise in building relationships, understanding client needs, and delivering tailored solutions. His unwavering dedication to excellence has earned him the trust and respect of clients and colleagues alike.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Allen finds fulfillment in spending time with his family and engaging in volunteer work aimed at helping others. His experiences as a veteran and his commitment to service continue to drive him to make a positive impact in the lives of those around him.

Office Assistant/Receptionist

Mary has worked for senior helpers since June 10th, 2024. She is an Air Force veteran and worked in a hospital in SC for 34 years. She worked at the hospital billing, registration, and IT Departments during her time at the hospital. She is the office assistant/receptionist.

Krystal Tourville

Nurse Manager

Hello, my name is Krystal Tourville, and I am the nurse manager for Senior Helpers of High Point, North Carolina. I am a third-generation nurse. I worked in a hospital setting for 12 years and a hospice setting for three years. My specialties include hematology, oncology, urology, and gerontology. I absolutely love working with my patients and their families. My goal is to provide my clients and families with the best care possible and ensure that their needs are managed with every resource available.


I want to take this opportunity to express our thanks for the superb work Diane did for Dad while he was in the hospital. She was punctual, personable, and dedicated. She helped my Dad immensely during a difficult time for him. Her calm manner and brilliant smile worked magic. My Dad’s attitude changed completely for the better after her first visit. Thank you so much for giving us Diane. She really is a remarkable person and very caring.
