South Washington County Seniors
SoWashCo Community Education has a robust program for Adults aged 50+ that meets the social, educational, health and human service needs of seniors. Whether you are ready to play a game of cards, discuss a book, exercise, or attend local trips and tours, there is something for you at the SoWashCo Community Center.
For just $20 per year, members may enjoy a variety of 50+ free or low-cost programming. members-only discounts, and are kept informed of program updates and schedule changes. Apple Valley Senior & Event Center.
The Apple Valley Senior & Event Center is a beautiful facility that offers a variety of activities to Seniors age 55 and over in the community through membership in the Apple Valley Seniors Organization. You can enjoy card games, day trips, bingo, exercise programs, painting, handcrafted arts, monthly catered lunches with entertainment, guest speakers, bicycle group, dance, foreign language classes, monthly technology presentations, book club, music and so much more.
Burnsville Senior Center.
The Burnsville Senior Center is a community hub for experienced adults. Learn something new through one of the many classes for seniors. Options include woodcarving, Tai Chi, painting, defensive driving, aquatics and more.
DARTS
Since 1974, DARTS has been a community-based nonprofit serving seniors (ages 55+) and their families in Dakota County and the surrounding area, helping them to lead more independent and fulfilling lives. Through services like light housework, outdoor chores, home repair, caregiving resources, volunteer opportunities and transportation, we have worked to be a community partner across generations. DARTS was originally an acronym (Dakota Area Resources and Transportation for Seniors) but the name was shortened to DARTS in 2008 as its services expanded to include homemaking, outdoor chores and volunteer opportunities while living out our mission creating connections that enrich aging.

The Eagan 50+ Senior Board offers a variety of programs, events and services.
Elder Resource Association
The Elder Resource Association is a group of professionals in the South of the River area dedicated to improving the lives of seniors. ERA publshes The Senior Resource Guide annually. The guide features senior housing and services in Burnsville, Apple Valley, Lakeville, Eagan, Savage, Farmington, Prior Lake and surrounding cities. ERA also holds the Aging and Wellness Expo each spring. This has become a highly anticipated and well attended event to learn about services for older adults in our community.
Lakeville Area Active Adults
The Lakeville Area Active Adults offers a wide variety of programs and activities to members 50+, including educational classes, health and wellness programs, informational seminars, hobbies, games, day trips, extended trips, special events, social programs, and more. Its mission is to focus on the well-being of individuals ages 50 and over to enhance the emotional, physical, and psychological aspects of their lives. The Lakeville Heritage Center is open Monday-Friday 8:30 am - 3:30 pm and offers a great atmosphere, excellent programs, and socializing - worth far more than the modest annual membership fee. Prior Lake’s Club Prior Adult 55+
Club Prior is Prior Lake’s senior resource and recreation center and shares space with the Prior Lake Library. It is open Tuesday through Thursdays from 9 am to 3 pm.
The 6,000 square foot center is used for activities for all ages, but mainly serves as a place where seniors meet, participate in planned events and activities, get information on health and wellness, and organize trips. The center, while the responsibility of the City, operates in close cooperation with many community partners. Rosemount 55+ Adult Activities
Rosemount Parks and Recreation along with the Rosemount Area Seniors organization offer a wide variety programs, events, and trips for adults 55 and older. The beautiful Steeple Center in downtown Rosemount is the primary home to our 55+ programming. The lobby area features a beautiful fireplace, gorgeous windows, and café-style seating. It is a great place to stop in for a cup of coffee, to catch up with friends, and meet new people.
Savage Senior Club.
Supported by the City of Savage, the Senior Club is a volunteer-based group that is geared toward the interests and needs of Savages’ active adults ages 55 and older. The Senior Club meets every Tuesday morning and Thursday afternoon at the Savage Library Annex. Occasionally the group offers free presentations or speakers, which are highlighted in their monthly newsletters. Free coffee and refreshments are provided at each meeting.
