Meet the Baltimore office

More than 90% of seniors want to age in their own home with dignity but getting the right type of care can seem daunting. At Senior Helpers Baltimore we believe getting the best care for your loved ones should not be complicated. Tony and Peter opened the Senior Helpers Baltimore office in 2002 because of their passion for helping others and their interest in the growing need for in-home care services.  They are committed to delivering the best possible in-home care to seniors in the Baltimore community.

We take in-home care seriously and make it a priority to provide the highest level of client service possible. Over the past years we have built an exceptional team of care professionals, each committed to remaining at the forefront of the in-home care industry through our proprietary ongoing training and education programs.

Our History

Our History

Senior Helpers was founded in 2002 by Tony Bonacuse with the help of Peter Ross after their firsthand experience in caring for their respective family members. Tony and Peter identified a need that was not being filled properly by the other companies. They realized that most seniors would prefer to age in their own home rather than move into an unfamiliar institution. Unfortunately, the options available to most seniors were very limited. Most seniors did not have access to well-trained, dependable and affordable in-home care. This was the mission-driven spark that started Senior Helpers.

The first office opened in Baltimore, and quickly developed a reputation for delivering excellent in-home senior care with their well-trained staff of professional caregivers. Based on the success of the Baltimore location, the company began to expand. Over the past 22 years, the Senior Helpers family has grown to include a network of more than 300 locally owned and operated franchises across the United States.

Like every other owner, we too are fully-committed to the original goal of providing dependable and affordable in-home care with well-trained caregivers. Nothing is more important to us than being the best available resource for seniors and families in our community.

We have been lucky to serve hundreds of seniors in our community over the years, and we are committed to continuing to provide uncompromising levels of care to all our families

Our process

Our process

The first step in the process is a complimentary, initial in-home care assessment with a Senior Helpers consultant. This assessment can help you understand the true needs of your loved one, and your options. Together we can discuss their needs, our senior care services and determine what’s best for your entire family.

We will cover:

  • Your family's specific goals
  • Your loved one's daily plan design and schedule
  • Pricing and payment methods
  •  Implementation process
  • Ongoing communication and follow-up plan

Recruiting Manager

As the Recruiting Manager for our Baltimore office, it is my mission to connect quality care professionals with quality clients. I started my professional career in exterior home-remodeling sales for 3 years until being drawn to the world of recruiting and talent acquisition by the opportunity to help jobseekers and businesses amidst the massive COVID related lay-offs in 2020 and on. I am a Salisbury University Alumni with a bachelor’s degree focused in Business Economics and Marketing from the Franklin P. Perdue School of Business, and in my free time I enjoy golfing and watching the Ravens (while occasionally yelling at my TV).

She works hard to ensure the schedule fits the lifestyle and availability of the caregiver, but also ensures the clients are well taken care of by making a great match. She graduated from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. Prior to joining Senior Helpers, she worked over 8 years as a correctional office before departing to give all her love and attention to being a stay-at-home-mom taking care of her daughter. Nicole Matricciani

Nicole Matricciani

Community Relations Manager

I am Nicole Matricciani and feel very thankful to be a newish member of the Senior Helpers Baltimore team. I come from a Home Health Care/Skilled Nursing background and have worked in Healthcare& Marketing for 22years. I am not someone who would easily be able to sit inside an office , as I enjoy the ever-changing landscape of the marketing/business development role.. Meeting new people daily, the variety of each account ( SNFs, ALFs, PCP Offices, Hospitals), and working with a growth mindset with an end goal of increasing census week to week.

I have been married to my husband Steve for 24 years, and we have a 13 year old son Frank. Most of my free time is spent on football fields, basketball courts and baseball diamonds, and when time allows ( sports free days), we love to travel and spend as much time as possible on the beach. I love to read, cook, and spend time with my girlfriends, whether it is hanging out at our Swim Club, or sharing a bottle of wine at one of our favorite Harford County restaurants. I am looking forward to getting to know my Senior Helpers team better over the next year, and assisting them in growing our office, as the potential , the talent and the work ethic is palpable within this group!

It is caring and efficiency. Jamie picked out the perfect Helpers for me: Valerie and Debbie, the nurse. All is going well. I would definitely recommend Senior Helpers.
