Going Home Safe – Recovery Care
At Senior Helpers, we use the LiFE Profile to form the right care plan for you. This assesses your current capabilities, areas for support, and health condition. We take these measures to keep our seniors safe and feeling their best. We specialize in crafting evolving plans to help you or your loved one return to home safely after a hospital stay or time in rehab. Our expertise becomes your platform for a successful return to home greatly reducing your risk of readmission.
Alzheimer’s & Dementia Care
Senior Helpers has an exclusive program for seniors with Alzheimer’s and dementia called Senior Gems. The Senior Gems program is fitted for your loved one’s needs. The program focuses on things your loved one can do with minimal support and includes activities that support cognition and quality of life. Our staff connects with seniors and families to make the process as simple as possible.
Parkinson’s Care
Our trained caregivers in Newton are highly trained in our Parkinson’s Care program to support your or your loved one’s needs. The care plan will change over time as Parkinson’s progresses. It can include everyday support, medication management, minor exercise to keep balance and coordination, social interaction, and more. We work with experts from the Parkinson’s Foundation Centers of Excellence to give our clients the absolute best care.
Traditional Care
Our caregivers are here to offer hands-on support and warm companionship. While a caregiver helps at home through medication management, daily life, transportation, and more, they are also here to visit and provide companionship. This care plan is fitted for the unique needs of seniors to ensure they remain comfortable and safe at home.
Transitional Care
The transition from a long-term care facility or hospitalization is tough, which is why we are committed to making the process as comfortable as possible. We work with seniors to develop a care plan that makes them feel safe in the transition from one form of care to another.
Round-the-Clock & Live-In Care
Round-the-clock care is our 24/7 care. These caregivers do not live in the home but are equipped for any need seniors may have at any time. A live-in caregiver can provide unique care to seniors at home. This includes establishing routines, managing medications or other needs, and offering support at any moment.
End-of-Life Support Care
Senior Helpers offers care for the comfort and support of your loved one as the end of life approaches. Our caregivers are trained to emotionally support you and your loved one through this process. We partner with hospice care workers and help with meals, some housework, and errand running. Most of all, our caregivers provide companionship through the thoughts, emotions, and worries your loved one may face at the end of life.
