At Senior Helpers, we believe in providing compassionate and specialized care for our clients, ensuring that their unique needs are met with warmth and dedication. Many people in the Community are already aware that our core focus has been on dementia care, but we are proud to share that we are equally dedicated to caring for individuals living with Parkinson's disease. This commitment to comprehensive support was reinforced at our recent annual Senior Helpers Conference, where we had the privilege of hosting the incredible Jimmy Choi as our keynote speaker.
Meet Jimmy Choi: A True Warrior
Jimmy Choi, a remarkable individual, embodies the spirit of resilience and determination. Diagnosed with Parkinson's disease (PD) at the young age of 27, Jimmy's journey has been nothing short of inspiring. At 41, he is a loving husband and father of two, and an MVP Team Fox athlete. With unwavering determination, Jimmy took on the challenging obstacle course of American Ninja Warrior, an NBC sensation. To date, his efforts have raised over $100,000 for Parkinson's research through The Michael J. Fox Foundation (MJFF). Jimmy tackled the course with the agility and grace of a true professional athlete.
Meeting the Inspiration:
At our Senior Helpers Conference, Dr. Yeung and Tim Francis, the owners of Senior Helpers Fairfield and New Haven Counties, and also the Office Manager David Kahn, had the privilege of meeting Jimmy Choi in person. Their encounter with this remarkable individual left an indelible impression, reinforcing our commitment to providing exceptional care and support to those living with Parkinson's.
