Every once in a while, someone steps up and reminds us of the extraordinary things people can do when they truly care. Today, we want to spotlight Keena, who we are proud to announce is our Caregiver of the Month. She is one of those rare individuals who truly goes above and beyond. As the saying goes, "Greatness is not in where we stand, but in what direction we are moving." Keena has shown us she’s always moving in the direction of care, and compassion, and her recent actions in particular exemplify that:
Recently, our company wanted to do something particularly special for the residents at the Sunrise of Wilton community as it relates to those living with Parkinson’s Disease. We dreamed of arranging a visit from Dr. Meytin, a highly respected specialist whose expertise and dedication to his patients are widely recognized. Coordinating such an event felt like a long shot.
Keena didn’t have to do anything beyond her already stellar work, but she chose to go above and beyond for the Company, and for those residents. As Dr. Meytin’s Medical Assistant (and our own employee), she used her connection to facilitate this incredible opportunity for the residents. Thanks to Keena, they experienced something truly extraordinary—a moment of learning, connection, and care that may not have been possible otherwise.
This is the kind of person Keena is—someone who doesn’t just do her job but goes out of her way to make a real difference. She didn’t do it for recognition or applause; she did it because she cares. We are so fortunate to have someone of her caliber in the senior care industry, and we couldn’t be prouder to name her our Caregiver of the Month.
