“What inspired me to work as a caregiver is seeing my patients regaining the hope and joy for their life.  One of my favorite aspects of this job is when I get to emotionally connect with my clients. I still remember when one of the clients I helped mentioned the loss of his son at an early age due to a tragic incident, but kept his faith strong as a Catholic. I was able to connect to him on a personal level as he shared his personal stories with me. I felt like I not only bonded with the client, but also his family as they all shared so many touching and emotional stories of their past.”

“I love being a caregiver and taking care of my patients!  What inspired me on becoming a caregiver is my sister.  My sister is a CNA and she started her journey at a senior living home. What inspired me is seeing her taking care of her patients and the joy she brought to them. I wanted to do the same for my clients. One of my favorite moments as a caregiver is going to my clients’ houses and recognizing how happy they are to see me. I genuinely enjoy taking care of them and spending time with them.”

“I made the decision to become a caregiver because I love helping others. I have enjoyed this career path very much.  Getting to know each of my patients and listening to their stories fills me with so much joy. It makes me feel grateful to know I can be of help to them, and assist them in their daily needs.  When I began this journey, I would have never thought it can have such an impact on my life.  I am so happy that I can be of help to my elderly patients.  I am thankful that I am here, and will continue to assist to the best of my ability!”

“I am a dedicated professional with extensive experience in operations, sales, and marketing across various industries. I excel in improving processes and delivering high-quality performance, particularly in medication and prescription services. My career spans roles as a Warehouse Associate and Caregiver, where I showcase my commitment to efficiency and compassionate support to the elderly population age group.  With proficiency in both English and Bahasa Indonesia, I would combine technical expertise with exceptional interpersonal skills to meet diverse client needs.”

“I chose to become a caregiver because it’s a good opportunity for me to learn and grow as a person.  I am new to this line of work, but very eager to learn and roll up my sleeve to support my clients with their various needs. The seniors have so many great stories to tell me and I am intrigued to hear all of it!”

“Caregiving is an incredibly rewarding job that requires a lot of interpersonal skills.  Working one on one with someone who needs your help and support can be very fulfilling, and it sharpens your people skills in the process.  Good communication, empathy, and compassion are all essential qualities for caregiving, and they can easily be applied to other areas of your life.  Whether you're interacting with a colleague or a family member, the skills you learn through caregiving can help you build stronger relationships and that is my inspiration for this field!”

"I am working on my nursing degree and doing caregiving work provides additional experience to prep me to be an excellent nurse down the road.  I am inspired to provide care services because I genuinely enjoy helping people.  My favorite thing to do with my clients is taking them out of the house for a nice morning walk.  I can see how happy they are now that they get to enjoy this simple life routine safely once again with me being there!"

“I have been a caregiver for about 4 years now and I absolutely love what I do.  It is really important to me that each and every one of my patients are taken care of and all their needs are met.  I simply just love helping others and making sure they feel safe.  As I get to know my clients, we form a bond and it is some of the best experiences for me to be so close with someone who is not even my own family member.  Elderly people are so sweet and all they want is love and care in their final stages of life. With that said, I am very thankful to be a caregiver knowing that I could make an impact in other people’s life.”

“Here are my 3 whys: 1) To make a change: I want to make an impact on other people’s life, helping those who need it are a great way of doing so.  2) To have pride in my work: I want to work with pride and have fun while doing so.  Caregiving gives me a bit of both. 3) To expand my career opportunities: Everyday will be a new learning experience as different client varies in their needs.  This allows me to adapt and develop my skills of tending to the elderly’s needs.”
