While we are new to the Mesa area, as long-time members of the senior care community in Scottsale, Shaun and Tiffany Phelan have always seen the need for better, more comprehensive training for people working with seniors. They also know that professional caregivers usually have a passion for learning and improving their skills. While working in the field, a local social worker said to Tiffany, “wow, I wish we had a better way to share what you know with all of our families.” From that simple statement, the Senior Helpers Center of Excellence in Caregiving was born. Tiffany immediately realized that it isn’t just professional caregivers who benefit and enjoy additional training, but the community in Mesa and Scottsdale areas could benefit as well, and she set out to create an environment where anyone can upskill to meet the needs of our senior population.
