AVSA - Arizona Veterans StandDown Alliance
The Arizona Veterans StandDown Alliance (AVSA), established in 2013, is a program of the Arizona Housing Coalition that holds annual events and resource fairs in 13 of Arizona’s 15 counties, including the nation's largest event of its kind, the annual Maricopa County StandDown. These events allow veterans and their families who are experiencing housing instability and homelessness to get and stay connected to housing and supportive services.

Emergency & Minor Home Repair Program & Other Resources
The Town of Gilbert understands the importance of safe and comfortable homes for its residents. To support this, we offer an Emergency and Minor Home Repair Program, available to income-eligible Gilbert homeowners. This program aims to assist with home repairs related to health, safety, and accessibility.
What They Cover:
- Glass repair
- Roof leaks
- ADA modifications
- Heating and cooling systems
- Electrical issues
- Plumbing repairs
- Lox box Installation (NEW)
In addition to these services, Gilbert also provides assistance for substantial roofing repairs and exterior home repainting projects, each with its separate application and qualification process.
Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible for assistance, you must:
- Agree to and understand the program's expectations
- Be a Gilbert homeowner residing in your home as your primary residence
- Have a repair that poses a health or safety hazard or creates accessibility barriers
- Meet the income eligibility criteria (please check your income)
