Senior Helpers of Gilbert & Chandler Featured on AZ Family for Their Dear Senior Valentine's Day Card Drive

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, and everyone deserves to feel love. Among those are our Valley senior citizens, who sometimes feel alone and isolated.

Now, one local group is holding a Valentine’s Day card drive to uplift our elderly, and that is Something Good!

Senior Helpers of Gilbert & Chandler is asking the public to help collect 500 Valentine’s Day cards (or more!) for its 3rd Annual Dear Senior Valentine’s Day Card Drive. The cards will be delivered to seniors across the Valley, spreading love and joy on this special holiday.

“The sad part is is a lot of them have lost their loved ones, so this is just a really great way for us to make them feel loved and appreciated. And like you said, isolation can just be very dangerous because it can lead to heart disease, even Alzheimer’s and dementia. So this is a way that we can really brighten their day,” said Analaura DeVry, co-owner of Senior Helpers.
