Medication Management

How It Works

We will work with your pharmacy (or one of our partnered pharmacies) to get your prescription dispensed in a smart bubble pack.
We track your medication adherence 7 days a week, 24 hours per day. We can see when doses have been taken on-time, when they are missed, or when the wrong compartment on the bubble pack is opened.
When you miss scheduled doses, the Adherence Support Team will call to assess how you are feeling and what they can do to support you.
We try to understand why you haven’t been able to take your medications on-time. Our support team is trained in behavior science and will take steps to resolve the adherence problem based on our findings.
Once a month a Care Manager will review your medication adherence report with you.

Senior Helpers has partnered with CuePath Innovation and pharmacies to offer an industry- first Remote Medication Management service. Our solution focuses on improving medication adherence without the need for in-person visits, interruption of daily routines, or introducing new technologies to learn. Our goal is to help you remain independent and healthy.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How does Senior helpers know that someone is late taking their medications?

Senior Helpers will arrange for the pharmacy to dispense your loved one’s medications in bubble packs that are CuePath monitored. CuePath detects when each bubble compartment is opened, relative to the prescription schedule that the pharmacy has indicated. Through our partnership with CuePath, we track your medication adherence, and work with the Adherence Support Team to resolve problems or behaviors that impede your adherence.

What if I’m already using a pill organizer?

Most medication adherence products on the market such as Internet-connected dispensers and pill organizers are designed to help remind seniors to take their medication. These products can’t address the situation where the senior has made the decision not to take their medication. The Adherence Support Team is trained to help resolve the underlying issues that impede adherence. Also, with Remote Medication Management, caregivers no longer need to load medications into an organizer and risk making a mistake.
